Festive Bruschetta

There's nothing more fun than creating festive snacks and canapés to enjoy with your xmas drinks. My latest (and one of the tastiest) offering is my delicious 15minutes festive bruschetta, ready in 4 easy steps, made by toasting some sliced fresh baguette and topping with cranberry, brie and crispy bacon, I find Denhay smoked bacon works best as their expert bacon curers are dedicated to producing the best quality bacon.

Ingredients


1tbsp olive oil

6 slices Denhay bacon, smoked or unsmoked

2 rosemary sprigs, plus extra for decor

3 garlic cloves, peeled and squashed

8-10 slices fresh baguettes

120g brie

5tbsp cranberry sauce

Method

1. Heat a non stick pan on med-high heat and add the olive oil, once heated cook bacon until crisp, remove and place on to some kitchen roll.

2. Drain any excess fat from the pan, leaving around 2tbsp, on a medium heat add the rosemary and garlic to infuse with the oil, once fragrant turn the heat up just a little and toast the baguettes on both sides until garden and crisp.

3. Dice your crispy bacon in to pieces.

4. Assemble your festive bruschetta but firstly spreading on some cranberry sauce, then add some brie and then sprinkle with your deliciously crispy Denhay bacon, garnish with a little fresh rosemary (remove before eating)
